CITIES series. by Olga Radionova. 2021

This is a series of decorative panels or wall sculptures was inspired by my travels. It was a rare pleasure for pandemic years. Sitting in quarantine, I looked through the photo from previous travels to recall those impressions that seemed natural then, but in 2020\21 have become rare. In this series, I decided to give some of my favorite cities an artistic association - color and texture. Mixes of different materials and cocktails of textures are my artistic language. I tell my stories and share my feelings and emotions on this language. Textures create visual vibrations and tactile sensations, a play of chiaroscuros and reflexes. And bright local colors sound loud and powerful. This is what my CITIES look like.

MDF panels, acrylic paints, epoxy resin, silk threads are used for this series. And hand-sewn thousands of soft elements from different types of fabrics with silicone filler inside.
